Nuestra Escuelita Spanish Academy is looking for highly qualified, passionate Spanish teachers!

​

We are seeking part-time and substitute Spanish teachers for the school year for the following ages:

 

• 18 months – 3 years

• 3 – 4 years

• 5 – 8 years

• 9 – 12 years

 

About Nuestra Escuelita Spanish Academy

Nuestra Escuelita Spanish Academy, located in Chino, CA, offers small group Spanish immersion classes for children ages up to 14 yrs. old. Our unique classes offer children a highly interactive, fun, and encouraging atmosphere that immerses them into the Spanish language in a way that is appropriate for their age and skill level.  All of our teachers are bilingual, possess a valid teaching credential, and are passionate about what they do.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree

• Possesses a teaching credential (Bilingual Authorization/BCLAD is a plus)

• Fluent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish

• Strong instructional skills and classroom management

• Enthusiasm for and demonstrated mastery of subject matter

• Unrelenting commitment to students, self, and the school’s mission and vision to continually improve and develop

• Ability to self-reflect on teaching practices and be responsive to feedback

• Previous teaching experience and/or experience in education a plus

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Teacher shall keep track of student attendance

• Set, follow, and reinforce clear expectations and routines that are aligned with the school’s overall vision

• Thoughtfully follow daily lessons and implement specific strategies to meet the needs of all students, providing extra support, enrichment, or variation of work when necessary

• Demonstrate strong content knowledge

• Create a positive, achievement-oriented learning environment

• Invest in parents and families and their children’s academic success through communication and feedback after each class is finished

• Provide detailed information to lead teacher with information about how each class went, what was accomplished, and behavior issues and/or parent questions/concerns which may have arisen

6. Up-to-date TB clearance (valid within the last 4 years)

7. Background check/finger printing (to be completed after hiring process is final)
